| Meditation is a vital component for a healthy, balanced life. Meditation is good for you physically, mentally, and spiritually. Everyone has the ability to meditate, and there are many ways to meditate--no one technique is superior to another. What's important is creating a meditation practice that meets your particular needs, interests, and beliefs. In this six-week class, you will learn the benefits of meditation, including breath awareness, how meditation decreases stress hormones, and other benefits such as increased circulation, lower blood pressure, and an improved sense of well-being. You will learn everything that you need to know in order to begin a regular meditation practice to enhance your mind and body. Group instruction and support increases the likelihood that you will successfully and permanently incorporate meditation into your life. |

Heart-centered meditation will be introduced and practiced in each class. |
