Who seeks spiritual direction? Those who long for a deeper connection with God
enter into a spiritual direction and companioning relationship. Spiritual direction
refers to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Companioning refers to my accompanying
a directee on their spiritual journey.
What happens in a spiritual direction session? The spiritual director and directee form
an alliance where they focus on the movement of the Spirit in the directee's life.
Many spiritual practices can be explored. All discussions are held in strict confidence.
How does spiritual direction differ from therapy? While there are many similarities
between spiritual direction and psychotherapy, there are differences. Both offer a safe
haven where struggles, longings, and ponderings can be expressed. One's spiritual life is
the focus in spiritual direction where space is provided to contemplate life's most sacred
questions and invitations.
Sessions are generally scheduled monthly, but this can vary according to an individual's needs.
Fees are $70 per hour.
